Dear UPHS Families,

Welcome to Phoenix Nation! High School is an exciting and important time in a young person’s life. Students discover themselves: their passions, their interests, their values. Students discover the world around them through the study of literature, history, math, science, wellness, arts, world language, and more. They engage in community: with their peers, with their teachers, with their local community. These four years are a critical launch pad for their access to college and potential career fields.

University Prep is such an amazing plan for students to learn and grow. In just our twelfth year, we have accomplished so much. We offer nearly 15 AP courses across all subject areas. Our students engage in artistic performances such as Black History and Hispanic Heritage Shows, Theater Week, Concerts, Senior Showcase, and more. Our College and Career team is dynamic. We offer summer programs, internships, college trips, and 1:1 support for the college process. Our students participate in sports through AF Athletics. Our staff is a team of deeply committed and caring professionals, who can support your scholar to thrive.Ultimately, we believe that the partnerships with families are critical to student success. Consistent, transparent communication is important. Aligning on expectations for student behaviors and academic habits strengthens student outcomes. Identifying concerns and problem solving together towards solutions helps us strengthen the student experience. We are thrilled to have you joining our community, and we eagerly anticipate partnering together!
